Milestones

Yesterday was my birthday. Here is a picture from another birthday forty-seven years ago. I like the juxtaposition between my face and the Raggedy Anne's. (I haven't changed a bit, by the way.)

And here is the finished quilt, finally on the intended bed. This is one of the rooms in my brother's B&B, E-Den. If you ever come to Lasqueti, it's the place to stay.

Anna Banana?! THE Anna Banana of the early 70's West Coast performance artist fame? You've got some super-famous people on this blog Heather! Or am I thinking of Mister Peanut. Weren't they a pair?

Once again, I missed your birthday. Very, very sorry. I hope it was a good one. They weren't supposed to be birthday presents but some things are in the mail (as my tea leaves reading Mom used to say). One item is a men's Issey Miyake sport coat from the 90's (put on too much weight for a good fit and I refuse to throw it out). Quite colourful. I was hoping you could re-make it for yourself or turn it into pillow covers or whatever you fancy.

Beautiful quilt. Yes, the reds will bring some lucky guest good dreams.
