Winter Light

The light is coming through the windows of the dome at odd angles, picking out details and exposing the dust.
There has been a frosty day or two.
And sometimes after a big storm the sun will suddenly appear, and make everything glitter.
This was the Christmas full moon, and wet snow on the window.
The stitching continues - 4 or 5 hours a day, with a deadline looming.

  1. maps. love them. dust. meh, leave it alone.

  2. I have been working 5 hours a day this month too. I love January for the work days - sounds crazy but what can I say? I love to do my work.

    Wondering what your deadline is?
    Looking good - your stitching.

  3. Heather, I so rarely comment though I always enjoy following your posts. Your work is simply stunning in its beauty and precision.

  4. Gosh such perfect hand lettering contrasting with your immaculate stitching, this series is truly a master (or should I say mistress) piece!

  5. Such beautiful stitches! It's a great time of year to get work done - as long as you can see what you're doing. I treasure the sunny days.

  6. The frogs will be back soon! Six weeks from now they will be serenading you from across the street!
