There was a heavy downpour today, followed by a qualicum (westerly wind) that blew the clouds away and let the late afternoon sun bathe the beach in iridescent light. The driftwood, rocks and seaweed were clearly delineated and seemed to glow from within. I got a bit carried away.
Such rich, inspiring colors after the rain has passed. I especially admire the photo of the tree rings. And thank you for a new tricky word for Scrabble!!
Right up my alley! Beautiful tree rings... and other shore stuff, including the rusty pup! Thanks for stopping by RavenWood, I'm enjoying having a look around here.. when I have more time, I'll be back for more!
The spaghetti like seaweed looks incredible! Lovely photos and lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteyou have much more interesting seaweed than we have? Wow--
ReplyDeleteWow - nature's patchwork - if only we could make quilts half as beautiful and mysterious! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteGlorious photos! Your beach looks much nicer than my muddy yard. Amazing how much it can rain!

ReplyDeleteI like the 4th picture, what is that??
ReplyDeleteThe fourth picture is of an upended tree root - we have lots of trees wash up on the shore, particularly after a storm.
ReplyDeleteIt glitters. Maybe it's just the way you took this photo makes it glitters?
