I used to have a desire to pick up old gloves and pieces of clothing on the street to make something out of them but I never did. I'm glad to see someone else taking on that project.

You're bears are magnificent! When are we going to see a solo show of your work???Sherri ~ daintytimehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14896825625378019132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28288094.post-91246696290211147932012-11-02T12:56:21.150-07:002012-11-02T12:56:21.150-07:00my Mom recycled before the idea or word was invent...my Mom recycled before the idea or word was invented. I was brought up that way - and sometimes become obsessive about it. hopefully future generations will be forced to pay attention, not just do what is convenient and trendy.onesmallstitchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28288094.post-80629575056385526012012-10-31T23:53:44.979-07:002012-10-31T23:53:44.979-07:00I have many clothes that I only wore once or twice...I have many clothes that I only wore once or twice. I still keep them in my wardrobe, waiting for me to be inspired then turn them into something else. I just made a bag out of my old dress and a jeans. Would you mind visiting my blog and see the bag?Liu Wan Pinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10666195603844351038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28288094.post-61858125923549039302012-10-31T00:31:50.003-07:002012-10-31T00:31:50.003-07:00Dear Heather, this post is full of inspiration for...Dear Heather, this post is full of inspiration for me. I also read what you wrote in 2008, it went right into my head and then into my heart. I am preparing a small installation, I was somewhat stuck but now I feel that I can start again my work. Have I your permission to quote you in my statement? Thank you for this really striking post.blandina https://www.blogger.com/profile/00116066798221969471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28288094.post-15378177924844936382012-10-30T21:43:46.708-07:002012-10-30T21:43:46.708-07:00Louisa, I once made a quilt from clothing I found ...Louisa, I once made a quilt from clothing I found on the street during Vancouver's last garbage strike. I posted about it here: http://truestitches.blogspot.ca/2008/04/buddhist-patchwork-quilt-is-out.html
But fabric delivery to your door is very cool. Hope there was some good stuff there!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17188002198879523397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28288094.post-7654352274263776332012-10-30T21:12:48.027-07:002012-10-30T21:12:48.027-07:00How interesting! Except this week when I found an entire box of fabric recently discarded by my neighbour who is moving. I think it doesn't count though because she actually carried it over and into my house for me! Cloth delivery. Gotta love it. I promise to find a use for...most of it. :)Louisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11685532773952211627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28288094.post-38754281603428361022012-10-30T14:02:07.564-07:002012-10-30T14:02:07.564-07:00thanks for this post, very interesting reading; thanks for this post, very interesting reading; Saskiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10974723368542754165noreply@blogger.com
